With family law cases in general becoming more difficult and contentious, we are seeing more and more clients deciding to opt out of the collaborative process.  The focus of this presentation is to discuss what the professional team can do when one or both parties start considering the possibility of opting out of the collaborative process.  We will cover the disclosure requirements as set forth in the Participation Agreement, how to best guide clients through obtaining a litigation opinion, and the formal steps for terminating the process, including what information the collaborative professionals can share with the client’s litigation counsel.
